Online Artificial Intelligence Course Launched
Flemish minister Hilde Crevits (Work, Economy and Innovation) has launched a new online course on artificial intelligence (AI) in collaboration with the VDAB. The course is part of 'lifelong learning' and aims to ensure that employees learn to deal with artificial intelligence. Only 8.7% of the Flemish population participate in lifelong learning. This is a lot less than countries such as Sweden, Finland and Denmark, where 25 to 30% of the working population participates to training.
In the Commission for Economy, Work, Social Economy, Science and Innovation of the Flemish Parliament, Minister Crevits has also announced that there will be a knowledge centre for ethical and social questions concerning AI. The centre will be set up by various partners and will have an annual budget of 750,000 euro.
