Strong focus on R&I in Swedish presidency programme

As of January 1st 2023, Sweden has taken over the six-monthly presidency of the Council of the EU from the Czech Republic. The Swedish presidency programme has a strong focus on research and innovation. Among other things, Sweden wants to work on strengthening European competitiveness, promoting open science, research infrastructures and the Chips Act, free exchange of knowledge and data within the European Research Area, knowledge valorization and the further development of the European Education Area.
