"Expand the objective, from a level playing field for start-ups to more innovative public procurement".

VARIO advisory report 9 'Buying from start-ups' handed over to the minister on 11 June

On 9 April 2019, the Flemish Minister of Economy and Innovation, Philippe Muyters, asked VARIO for advice on the concept note 'Buying from start-ups'.

In its advisory report with the same title, VARIO welcomes the 3 measures in the concept note for a level playing field in public procurement for young innovative companies. In order to achieve this broader objective, VARIO identified a number of necessary conditions on the supply and demand side.

Do you want to know why it is important to facilitate access to innovative public procurement for more mature and even international companies? Or what VARIO believes is needed to ensure that contracting authorities consistently make the innovation reflex?
