Kristien Vercoutere
Kristien Vercoutere was senior policy advisor with the VRWI from 1999 to 2016 and made the transition to the VARIO at the start of 2017.
Kristien graduated with a PhD in Sciences, Chemistry Group (University of Gent) in 1989. After that she became a scientific member of staff with the Emission Inventory Flemish Region (Emissie-inventaris Vlaamse regio), the Community Reference Office (Bureau Communautaire de Référence) of the European Commission and TU Delft. She then was the project coordinator of an EU research project at UGent and assistant at Howest in Kortrijk.
