Resolution on strengthening the Defense-related Industry in Flanders
On April 18, the resolution was adopted in the plenary session of the Flemish Parliament. It asks the Flemish Government to evaluate the so-called Muyters directive regarding support for R&D projects with potential military affinity and the existing legal frameworks for supporting R&D for dual-use and military use, for example through a new VARIO study, and to adjust if necessary.
VARIO includes the evaluation of the Muyters circular in the scope of its advisory trajectory on the opportunities and needs for the Flemish defense industry and innovation.
