VARIO in Merito-debate on Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Ivan Van de Cloot (Chief Economist at the Merito Foundation) organized a debate on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in early November. TU Eindhoven rector and VARIO council member Silvia Lenaerts shared her vision and lessons from the Netherlands. VARIO staff member Elie Ratinckx presented the recommendations from VARIO Advisory Report 39 on the dynamics of creative destruction as a lever for internationally ambitious entrepreneurship. Afterwards, a panel of three entrepreneurs—Kurt Leuridan (Tokai Optecs), Emmanuel Flaam (Netalux), and Jens Verbeeck (Magics Technologies)—reflected on the future of the economy.
