Fellow Austrian sister council RTFE a guest at VARIO for a month

As part of VARIO's international contacts with the European STI Councils, Dr. Bernhard Wally stayed with VARIO in Brussels from 9th to 31st of January. Bernhard has a PhD in Computer Science and is scientific advisor at the Austrian Council for Research and Technology Development (RFTE). He participated in the VARIO advisory process on Transformative Innovation Policy, during which he co-followed a number of interviews in the Flemish innovation landscape. In this context, he also participated in the joint workshop (AWTI-VARIO-RFTE) in The Hague (31st January), where he explained Austria's mission and transition approach. At the council meeting of January 19, he interacted with the VARIO council members about the Austrian R&D&I system and afterwards he met various stakeholders from the Flemish R&D&I system at the New Year's reception.
