VARIO on-site meeting at Televic

Through "outdoor" council meetings, VARIO aims to strengthen its contact with, and understanding of, the work field. Last Thursday it was Televic's turn, the company of VARIO chairman Lieven Danneels, specializing in innovative communication technology. Council and staff members watched and listened with fascination to demos from the rail, health, communication and education departments. VARIO also had a guest visit as part of Job shadowing, a commendable initiative of the VLIR whereby mature doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers can explore their careers on the job. Hava Izci, postdoc at KU Leuven, will join some more VARIO activities in the future.
