Accessibility statement
VARIO strives to make its website accessible, in accordance with the administrative decree of 7 December 2018 transposing the European Directive 2016/2102.
Drafting this accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.vario.be/ and was drawn up by the VARIO staff. The last revision dates from August 19, 2024.
Accessibility audit
The website was tested for web accessibility through two samples from the Diversity Policy Department of the Government Personnel Agency of the Flemish government. The most recent is dated July 31, 2024 and can be found here.
The accessibility of our website is also regularly checked through an Accessibility check developed by the FPS BOSA. It is a tool that you can install in the bookmarks bar of your internet browser and that, based on a number of tests, creates a report on the accessibility of the web page you visit.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AAA, as the requirements below are not met.
Non-accessible content
- Images and other non-text content
For certain images and other non-textual content, no textual alternative is yet available. Retesting is done on a regular basis to supplement these.
- Video content
Not all videos have subtitles, audio description or a transcript yet.
- Pdf files
Pdf files downloaded from our website may cause accessibility issues.
- Use of ReCaptcha in forms: to prevent spam we use ReCaptcha in our forms. However, this may lead to accessibility issues for some users.
- Contrast of text and background: the contrast ratio between white text and the blue background on our website meets the AA standard, but not the AAA standard everywhere.
