Explanation of VARIO-advisory report ''Towards higher productivity growth' at the start of the Central Steering Group R&D&I
On March 12, the inaugural meeting of the Central Steering Group R&D&I took place. Its task in developing the R&D&I policy is part of the Flemish productivity and competitiveness agenda.
The central steering group will work along five specific trajectories:
- Trajectory 1: Towards larger valorization of R&D&I investments in Flanders;
- Trajectory 2: Access to R&D&I funding instruments;
- Trajectory 3: Strategic investments in state-of-the-art R&D&I research infrastructure in and outside Flanders;
- Trajectory 4: Compliance and reducing regulatory pressure and administrative burdens for researchers;
- Trajectory 5: Strengthening R&D&I within universities of applied sciences.
During this inaugural meeting, VARIO was able to present advisory report 38 'Towards higher productivity growth' with special attention to the recommendations on sharpening R&D&I policy. The impetus for these recommendations was given in the 'VARIO memorandum 2024-2029: More impact through excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship'.
