Reference to VARIO Advisory Report 35 on Transformative Innovation Policy in the Concept Note for new regulations on low-regulation zones and the strengthening of innovation in Flanders

In the concept note for new regulations on low-regulation zones and the strengthening of innovation in Flanders, which was discussed in the Committee for Economy, Employment, Social Economy, Science and Innovation (Flemish Parliament), a reference is made to VARIO Advisory Report 35. The authors of this concept note urgently call, among other things, for the development of an overarching vision and the establishment of a coordination and knowledge unit within the Flemish Government, which aligns with the VARIO advisory report. HThe main objective of this transversal knowledge unit would be to build expertise on innovation policy, to enable and shape that policy, as well as to serve as the point of contact for concrete initiatives or information requests from other policy levels, companies, and knowledge institutions.
