VARIO Advisory Report 35 ‘Transformative Innovation Policy: a governance framework for the Flemish Government’ presented to the ACV working group on Industrial Policy

At the invitation of the Working Group on Industrial Policy, Elie Ratinckx from the VARIO staff engaged in a discussion with the ACV (Christian labor union) about Transformative Innovation Policy in Flanders. The discussion paid particular attention to the participatory governance framework developed by VARIO in its Advisory Report 35 to strengthen (industrial) transition policy in Flanders. The VARIO governance model, which consists of an interwoven policy cycle and experimental space, was fully adopted in a recent advisory report by AWTI. The AWTI report indicates, depending on the phase of the transition, which types of policy instruments or framework conditions can be deployed to support the transition and the stakeholders in the field.
